As part of a larger private estate project, the client requested the development of a tea pavilion intended for use across three out of four seasons.

The decision was made to construct the building using CLT panels with LVL elements, allowing for both high structural precision and natural material expression.

One of the defining features of the pavilion is its large glazed openings, which can be fully retracted or opened in warm seasons — making the entire space feel completely immersed in the landscape.

A key design and engineering challenge was the cantilevered roof and the building’s intentionally light and visually unstable appearance.

This structural ambition was successfully resolved, giving the pavilion a distinctive architectural identity.

Following publication in multiple architecture journals and presentations at technical seminars, the project attracted interest for repeat implementation.

It has since been refined into a standardized pavilion model for year-round use.
