This office was designed for our own use as a way to rethink the architectural workspace. The project involved the renovation of a dilapidated Soviet-era pavilion located in central Moscow, on the bank of the Moskva River.
The pavilion was envisioned as both a showcase of construction technologies and materials, and as a live demonstration of modern timber house interiors.
The interior features an open-plan workspace for up to 10 architects, a large lounge area with a professional-grade sound system, and a luxury coffee point. The layout also includes a small meeting room, two private offices (for the director and senior staff), a stationery/storage area, a toilet room, and a compact kitchen. A summer terrace was built outside to accommodate outdoor work in warm seasons.
The KUB HOUSE office serves as both a functional workplace and a physical manifesto of the companyβs architectural values and material culture.
